Advertising Codes of Practice and Testimonials

Advertisements for therapeutic goods for humans in Australia are subject to the requirements of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and Regulations, the Competition, Consumer Act 2010, the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code and other relevant laws.  The Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) administers the statutory measures and the relevant therapeutic goods industry associations are self-regulated vide specific Codes of Practice.  No similar regulation exists for advertisement of therapeutic goods for animals.

The purpose of the Advertising Code is to protect public health by promoting the safe use of therapeutic goods, ensuring that they are honestly promoted as to their benefits, uses and effects.  The Code stipulates that the marketing and advertising of therapeutic goods is conducted in a manner that promotes the quality use of the product, is socially responsible and does not mislead or deceive the consumer. Complementary therapists, identified by being a member of a recognised industry association, are subject to the advertising requirements contained with the Code, which include labeling and packaging regulations.  Testimonials must not breach the Code.  They must be documented, genuine, not misleading and illustrate typical cases only.

All products and services supplied by Willow Wise Therapies comply with the Advertising Code.

'...much happier and more trainable horse.'

I highly recommend Sue Johnson and Willow Wise Therapies.  I have been using Sue for my horse’s diet for the past 2 or 3 years.  During this time, I have watched my boy blossom.  We review his diet every quarter or when subtle issues arise.  I find by keeping on top of small changes in his diet, I have a much happier and more trainable horse.  I value Sue’s advice so highly, I have recommended her to many of my clients who have also had great success.

...She is one of a small select group of accredited practitioners who can readily treat both humans and animals...

I have known and worked with Sue Johnson for 10 years, both as a student of Herbal Medicine and as a very committed practitioner. As a strong supporter of Evidenced-Based Herbal Medicine, Sue has gone out of her way to continue her studies to ensure that she has all the available information to provide best practice for both humans and animals. She is one of a small select group of accredited practitioners who can readily treat both humans and animals. She has also achieved some amazing results with animals as is well respected among the Vets in the drawing area. This makes her a rare practitioner who I would highly recommend.

...I am reassured by the fact that Sue is continually extending her skills and works with community members to consolidate a high standard of learning...

I am a chronic sufferer of psorasis, I have had this condition for thirty-five years. We have tried many supposed miracle marvels as well as home remedies, nothing seemed to help. I even remember wrapping my legs in cling wrap and bandages at night. This strain of psorasis, becomes immune to many creams after a short exposure time. Most tar and oil based creams would work for a short time before being ineffective. There is not a universal "one fits all" remedy, everyone has different stress reactors- physical, chemical, emotional and environmental. I have had the pleasure of working with Susan Johnson, with Willow Wise Therapies and noticed differences straight away. Sue would test my needs and associated factors with the use of muscle testing, hair analysis and in depth discussions. Susan developed a natural selection of creams to help eradicate itchiness, reduce redness and generally control the symptoms that were uncomfortable and embarrassing. I am a client of Willow Wise and I am completely satisfied with the level of professionalism and the knowledge displayed by Susan. I am reassured by the fact that Sue is continually extending her skills and works with community members to consolidate a high standard of learning. I would thoroughly recommend Willow Wise Therapies to anyone who wants a personal and professional approach to solving your needs.
